I'm not going to lead this one, nor make things happening. But I'll fix stuff and correct things missing and stuff like that.

2007-02-08 [Hedda]: The image thing though:

I think we should run two competitions. One for photos (and real looking photo manipulations) and one for art (drawn or fantastic/artistic photo manipulations). There are tons of people who love to dress up as vampires, so I think we'll get a huge collection there. Maybe we should keep the real photo contest running until December though to get some great looking Halloween photos in it too.

2007-02-12 [xido]: Sounds like a deal. I will ask [Angel Dreamer] and [Linn Scarlett] from the WFR Guild Members for their input of help as well, to make sure that nothing lags behind (I understand and appreciate you stepping down from leadership in this.... ;)). They are currently the ones working on the Creature_List as mods, so it will directly relate to what they are doing with the content on those pages.

I will ask [Artsieladie] for her input on running the image competitions, and - for the Photo Contest - you want me to run that one all year, 'til 2007 December?

Also, now that I see how to use the 'View Diff' feature on wikis, I can see how to best evaluate the text contributors... though, in the future, I would like to consider a slight variation on the winner(s) of such a contest. If a single entity needs to be chosen for it (and this could be a group of people), then I think the group of people should be chosen PRIOR to the contest.

Key idea: Undead Clan is my idea for the GOP rp that I am setting up....  BUT, it is also a members group that could be considered a singular entity, and all non-Clan members who post contributions would then be singular entities. That way, when a winner needs to be chosen, the moderator is not overwhelmed by trying to figure out who did what (and IF they were a part of a group). A single group could post as a group, and all the other people could post as independent contributors, or else join the Undead Clan (which is the only group entity posting as a singular unit), and add to their final contribution. If the Undead Clan's singular contribution is the best in the end, the whole Clan gets the badge that they could have earned as a single contributor.

Further, by having the Clan structure (and being a sovereign organization), Clan images, ideas, graphics, media, and ET-specific stuff can be made for groups members to join into the wikipage group. It makes both an info page (made by team members), and a Clan page, which means that it will be even easier for Elftowners to join a group of their choice.

Elftown-sponsored fantasy race groups are a good idea. I know they are. [Kim_Lundin] has already chosen to get involved with the Dwarfin Clans, and I am taking the Draconic Clan to list volunteer members of a Dragons network and RP Clan Council, which will contributes the full info from Dracology and my class on Dragons as a single portion of content.

As for the Clans, please see Fantasy Race GOP and Minorities and Minority Case #1 for info on the Clan divisions. It was originally begun as a sort of Elftown Fantasy Race Council RP, but I think it might make for a good idea for new ET groups for people to join, based on their interest in fantasy races.

I know you are not bossing, Hedda. You have a lot to deal with every day, and I understand your methods. ;)

2007-02-14 [xido]: I am thinking of instating a new rule this time around to help from having people join a group and us not having any idea who is grouped or teamed with whom....

Any person who does not want to enter the Text competition as a singular person must join the Undead Clan of the Fantasy Race GOP and Minorities in order to be considered a team entrant. If the Clan's overall submission is the best, everyone in the Clan (that enters something that the Clan would keep track of...) would get the badge that simply one person would get if they entered by themselves. Two birds with one stone... ;)

2007-02-23 [Artsieladie]: Aww, [Hedda], I appreciate your comment, but I'm really not too much into vampire art, but dragons & unicorns loom on the horizon, so this will be fine with me. Ok, with Pegasus, it's Pegasus Elftown Art for the posting of the art entered on ECM Pegasus Image. So wouldn't Vampire Elftown Art be the equivalent for the vampires to Pegasus Elftown Art? Shouldn't it be ECM Vampire Image for the art entries of vampires? Also, will there be a similar pattern with regards to the vampire photos? Since this is a huge project involving many creatures, wouldn't it be best to follow a pattern that's similar throughout. ;P

2007-02-27 [Hedda]: In this contest I think that "art" is better than "image", and I tend to think that ECM Pegasus Image should have been named "art" too. But changing now only messes things up.

2007-03-01 [Artsieladie]: Should Vampire Poetry be added here? Are we doing the same with the poetry page as was done with Pegasus which was the adding of the links to the entrants' poems? :P

2007-03-02 [Artsieladie]: Is there a reason for having each member's poem on a separate link, instead of all the poems being on one page? :P Added the link, alphabetically, used same date as with the art like Pegasus. Its name is out of sync with the "ECM", though. :P

2007-03-02 [Hedda]: I think the poems should be placed on different places, if the pages get too huge. Until that, I think they can be written on one page.

It's a very good name. The ECM-pages are only "temporary" pages that only will be used until we have the proper pages ready, but Vampire Poetry will look good from the beginning, so I see no problem with the name.

2007-03-03 [Artsieladie]: Ok. :) It's a good wait 'n' see idea, b/c there were only 3 or 4 poems for Pegasus. Actually, Pegasus Poetry came up quickly on the net. Hopefully, Vampire Poetry will do the same. :)

Animal vampires would be part of the term, since a vampire is more of a changed creature (template) than a species in and of itself. But that still leaves room for vampire rabbits and kitties. :P

Yes, it's true that not enough people dress up everyday, but I would say that our elftown-vampires have this covered pretty well. We have a lot of entries in that session!

I think we should open up one or two of the dragon sessions (or any of them that are ready, for that matter) while that one is still going, and announce the winners of the ECM Vampire all at once, like [Sunrose] suggested to me... But that is just my opinion.

I also would like some input on the working rules of the ECM RPG Sessions, if anyone has a moment...
